Oviedo Asturias Spain 2010

In February 2010, I traveled to Spain to the city of Oviedo in Asturias. Asturias is the cradle of the Discontinuous Spanish Timbrado, it was in Asturias that these birds were first bred, and from here they spreadded to the rest of Spain. Asturias delivers some of the most scenic and spectacular landscapes in Europe. It has an often mountainous, but lush terrain and serves up some breathtaking coastal scenery as well as some wonderful towns and cities such as Oviedo and Gijon. Asturias is a place to stay and the food is to die for, and the people of Asturias are always willing to make a visitor feels at home. There I met Mr. Sadua the president of the club and the Judge of the show, Mr. Antonio Herrera, Fernado Arregui, President of the club in Zaragoza, Carmelo Matinez from Zaragoza, Manuel Avarez Urbon a judge from Leon, Ricardo Gutierrez, Isac Sanchez, Leonardo from Leon, and all my friends from Lugo, as well as other members and breeders that are too numerous to name here.  This is one of the best shows in Spain because of the competitiveness and the quality of the birds.  Many of the best breeders throughout Spain meet in this show. I made many friends in Asturias, and I look forward to see then all again in the show in 2011.
